What is FTP and Do I Need to Know?

FTP stands for "File Transfer Protocol" and is a way to transfer files from one computer to another via the internet. The protocol commonly is used by web developers to upload files to a server and allow web browsers to display web pages. The protocol is also used to upload single and multiple files to a directory on a server or computer as a way to share files quickly and remotely. Files can also be downloaded via FTP by simply receiving a link or logging into the server with a username and password.

How Can I Use FTP with GDI

Most simply you can send us artwork files through our web browser form. Simply fill out the necessary fields, browse to attach your files, then press send. Your files will be transferred to our server with your information.

You can also request a private directory folder. We will provide a username and password in which you can upload and download files through your browser with a provided linked path.
